Week 20: Winning and Whining

Not that kind of 'whining'

Alex Blundell is still whining about his first round OFFL Cup exit.  And while we ignore that snigger at the back, we continue by pointing out that this week his fortunes have taken a turn for the better as Moanchester United nick back the League's top spot from Neil's Diamonds.

Radnorshire Tigers leap into the top ten this week by scoring a walloping 62 points earning Manager Alun Edwards a second consecutive and well-deserved Manager of the Week certificate.  He joins Mike Smears in winning the most certificates [3] this season which really does question the already suspect relationship between number of certificates earned and League loftiness.

Argh, brush it under the carpet.  Like the rest of this season's little anomalies.

At last! Alex Blundell's Moanchester United have something to moan about.

After scaling the heights to remain in contention for winning the League this season, Moanchester United have fallen at the first OFFL Cup hurdle, the group stage.  Indeed, the Moaners are the only seeded team to have failed to push through to the knockout stages of the competition leaving Manager Blundell in fear of his job.  And while his wife quietly, slowly begins to pack a bag amongst the blurred backdrop behind him, we look at the other sad and pathetic Cup Exiteers.
